Interesting that experts say that name change is tied to a personal choice which is guided by social forces hence why some below are with it and some not. Whereas many celebs have been historically shown to change their names to those who are more Anglo-Saxon sounding, Snoop is showing something a bit different here. Looks like the Norway situation has rolled right off the back. That's why you gotta love Snoop Dogg and his staying power.
Rapper Snoop Dogg changed his name to Snoop Lion. He has not say, why but here's a hint: Snoop Lion visited a temple in Jamaica where he was given the name ‘Snoop Lions’ representing the Lion of Judah which is the key religion symbol of Rastafarian. The rapper said he felt like he has always been part of Rastafarian, which is a famous Jamaican spiritual movement. Snoop Lion said he would focus on creating reggae music under new name.
