No surprise here, basically no one is feelin' more war. Interestingly, these comments seem to examine the country's role as a perceived leader, what that means in today's era and the price that is/could be paid for such actions. This seems to echo the late political scientists Samuel P. Huntington's observations in his book "Clash of Civilizations" where he examines shifts in balance of power, self-determining by smaller countries and re-defined leaders. How 'bout if we all put on our Xmas wish list, no more war?!
President Obama and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton have spoken out publicly against Syria's movement of its chemical weapons. Since the situation in Syria has become more and more dire, the U.S. government worries that President Bashar al-Assad's regime will use such weapons against his own people. The White House said the U.S. would have to step in if that red line was crossed. But the Assad regime says that is has no intention of using these weapons against their own people. Could the U.S. be facing another war in the near future? What do you think...
