WaWa Brightens the Romney Campaign Trail

Mon, 06/18/2012 - 8:51pm

Romney's WaWa visit just might be right up there with Obama at a bowling alley when he was campaigning back in 2008.  Nah, better, due to Romney's expressed amazement and entertainment.  Class divide is becomes quite obvious at times like this making people ponder if those of other greater financial wealth and/or education can should make decisions that affect those of other lifestyles.  The volume will probably continue to grow on such situations as more people challenge the "system" and those who represent it.  But what we'd really love to know is:  what would Romney's reaction be if he had a red slurpee at 7-11?!

Video of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney being surprised and amazed that customers can use a touchscreen and order a sandwich went viral today. In short, he went to a WaWa, a convenient store chain, and marvels at tech capability that the quick-stop offers the everyday American. And the comments? Well...see for yourself.

What Others Are Saying...

I have no freaking clue what WaWa's is....so if he's out of touch so am I.

When you are worth $250 million you probably never got one of these sandwiches before. Romney, a man of the people...teeheehee!

Gee Mitt, really now? Is that the way it's done in the real world by the common folk like me? You just press that little touchtone keypad and you get a sandwich? WHAT A COUNTRY THIS IS! Hey Milt, I have an even better idea for you! Try driving through one of those driveways at a fast-food restaurant, speak into one of those little speakers, and guess what? You'll get a sandwich too! This man is so out of touch with anyone except the super-rich...it's truly sad.
