Basketball Wives

It is interesting how some people believe that they can be moral arbiters, arbiters of culture and particularly arbiters of racial/ethnic representation.  This is what is fascinating about the new era:  it's less and less about being told what to do and more of telling/exhibiting/expression.  So how will new dynamics in communication play out?

Star Jones begins petition to request "Basketball Wives" be pulled from the air citing that interaction between the reality show's stars sets a bad example for women of color.   The show is exec produced by Shaquille O'Neal's ex-wife, Shaunie.  There is also a petition to stop the Evelyn Lozado spin-off with her fiance OchoCinco.
